Arcfield Canada
WEB DESIGN, ILLUSTRATION & VISUAL IDENTITY
Overview
During my internship at Arcfield Canada, I was introduced to the defence and space industry, which quickly sparked a strong interest. Working in a fast-paced, highly technical environment pushed me to think differently and adapt my design approach. The hands-on experience strengthened my skills, improved my attention to detail, and opened my eyes to new career paths within the industry. I also gained a solid understanding of Canada’s current fighter jet, the McDonnell Douglas CF-18 Hornet, and its upcoming replacement, the F-35 Lightning II.

I loved this project. What I particularly loved was I had the creative freedom to explore different concepts. What was eventually chosen was a very high detailed concept. I really took this opportunity to improve my illustration, colour theory, and layout and composition skills. The end result was a beautiful illustration that captured what Arcfield was initially looking for, to display the “out with the old (CF-18) and in with the new (F-35)”. Every illustration aspect also incorporates an arc, which is especially important to Arcfield’s brand. The other side is complete with the regular card deck suits, along with interesting facts about CF-18s,
F-35s, and Arcfield. These were used at an event complete with a magician doing magic tricks with them.
